Redeemer Community Church is a church plant of the ARP. A congregation in Paducah, Kentucky, New Geneva Community Church, had been praying about planting a church in Murray, Kentucky, for several years. In the process of building a core group, a big prayer was answered when God sent Mike and Emily Chipman, to Murray to pursue careers in education. Mike’s gifting in teaching the Scriptures and experience in ministry were the final piece needed to allow Redeemer to move to become an official church plant.
Our pastor is Rev. Mike Chipman. His wife of 18 years is Emily, and together they have three beautiful daughters. Mike and Emily are both teachers at Murray High School, where Mike teaches Biology and Emily teaches Art.
Mike is a graduate of Murray State (BS, 2002) and Reformed Theological Seminary (MAR, 2011). He worked in full-time youth ministry for 10 years before deciding to teach school and look to planting a church in Murray.
